Brow Lift
A brow lift is performed to reduce forehead creases, improve drooping eyebrows, minimize upper eyelid hooding, and improve frown lines located between the eyebrows. The procedure takes one to three hours and can be performed with local or IV sedation or general anesthesia.
Recovery
You will have soreness and discomfort after your brow lift. Dr. Ver Steeg will give you a prescription for pain medication. Patients usually return to work within five to ten days; more strenuous activity should be limited for three weeks or more.
Risks
The risks of a brow lift procedure include nerve injury, infection, minor hair loss, numbness in the scalp, and uneven eyebrows. You may experience temporary swelling, numbness, bruising, and headaches. Dr. Ver Steeg will discuss the risks of the procedure with you at the time of your consultation. Results usually last from five to ten years.
